Port Blair Sightseeing

• Morning:
After breakfast, transfer to Andaman Water Sports Complex to board a ferry/boat for the excursion to Ross Island.

• Ross Island Visit

• Former administrative capital during the British rule in India and Japanese occupation of the Andaman Islands.

• Named after Daniel Ross.

• Once called the “Paris of the East.”

• Currently maintained by the Indian Navy.

• Ideal place for nature walks with sightings of deer, peacocks, and tropical birds.

1. Chatham Saw Mill

• One of Asia’s oldest and largest sawmills.

• Located on Chatham Island and connected to Port Blair by a bridge.

• Known for rare timber species such as Padauk, Marblewood, Satinwood, Kokko, and Chulgam.

• The island also has one of the largest wharfs for mainland ships.

2. Anthropological Museum, Port Blair

• Established in 1975–1976.

• Displays culture and lifestyle of Andaman tribes:

  • Shompen tribe
